Child Care Provider

Gunnison Valley Hospital Children’s Learning Center is looking for a compassionate and responsible Child Care provider, who has experience in caring for school aged children.  At our center we are committed to high quality care for each child.  Our goal is to provide a loving and caring learning environment for our children to explore the world around them.  Positions available are:

  • Monday through Friday 7:30 am to 1 pm
  • Monday through Friday 8:30 am to 2 pm
  • Monday through Friday 12 pm to 7 pm

Responsibilities:

  • Assist classroom teacher, sub when needed
  • Follow through with lesson plans and maintain a safe environment for children
  • Interact and monitor children during all learning experiences
  • Maintain open communication with parents, children, co-workers, and director
  • Be able to report emergency’s through written and verbal communication
  • Develop a cleaning routine that will ensure a safe and clean learning environment
  • Serve meals and snacks
  • Attend monthly employee meeting and maintain annual state training

Skills:

  • Must be 18 +yrs (due to Utah State Licensing Regulations)
  • High school diploma/GED required
  • Ability to pass background screening and drug test required
  • Willing to obtain valid CPR, First Aid, and Food handlers’ certification
  • Must have caring, compassionate, responsible, and self motivating attitude
  • Provide records and maintain immunizations
