Gunnison Valley Hospital is a critical access hospital (CAH) located in Gunnison, Utah. The entity has a long history of providing quality care that began when Dr. Stanford Rees started his medical practice in 1932 as a sole provider right out of his medical residency. His tireless dedication to residents of central Utah is legendary and sprouted a thriving medical community providing state of the art care.
The Hospital offers quality inpatient care and surgical services. With the 2007 addition, all patient rooms are private and the Birthing Center is comfortable and accomodating to family needs. These areas are supported by advanced diagnostic imaging including CT Scans, Ultrasound, Digital Mammography, and MRI services all connected by a picture archival computer system (PACS) to allow physicians quicker access to needed images. The Medical Staff is supported by a full service laboratory and quality professionals in respiratory therapy, physical therapy and nursing services.
But the entity is much more than a Hospital; It also offers a caring Home Health and Hospice agency second to none in the area and provides the ambulance service for the community. GVH has attracted a variety of visiting specialists to its campus helping to reduce patient travel time and enhance the quality offered.
