Gunnison Valley Hospital is committed to making your birthing experience comfortable, unique and enjoyable.  Because we are small we are able provide personalized family centered care through dedicated nurses who are noted for their commitment to working as a team with physicians, other medical professionals, and most importantly...YOU and YOUR Family!

Our family-centered maternity environment encourages you and your partner to participate in your labor and the birth of your baby. Your baby’s birth will take place in a birth suite designed for your comfort. This particular room is designed to handle labor, delivery and recovery, in an environment that is safe, private and supportive. We have spacious, bright, modern private rooms that feature a large window, flat screen TV,  and room for dad to stay overnight.

After delivery, you will move with your baby to a comfortable, private postpartum room. To encourage family bonding after birth, mother and baby can both be cared for in the mother's room throughout her hospital stay. You and your baby will remain in this cozy homelike atmosphere where rooming in, family bonding, and sibling involvement can take place privately.
